A visit to learn about the history of the castle, its construction, its architecture and the life of its owners (Louise de Châteaubriant, François de Dinan, her grandson Jean de Laval and Françoise de Foix, mistress of the French King Francis the 1st).

The château
This tour offers a panorama of the château’s history and architecture from the Middle Ages to the present day, enriched with the most recent archaeological discoveries. It is the ideal tour for those visiting the Château de Châteaubriant for the first time.
