Egypt in the age of the Pharaohs - extended

from 3rd June to 30th October 2016

Presentation

After meeting with a rapturous reception in 2015, the Château de Châteaubriant is delighted to announce the extension of the exhibition 'Egypt in the age of the Pharaohs' Featuring over a hundred objects from the collections of the Musée Dobrée, alongside artefacts on loan from the Musée du Louvre, this show is the perfect opportunity to (re)discover Ancient Egyptian civilization.

The exhibition focuses on the work of Egyptologist Frédéric Cailliaud, daily life in the time of the Pharaohs (crafts and commerce) and ancient Egyptian funerary rites (the gods, mummification and sarcophagi).

In 2016, you discovered an interactive application allowing you to unravel the mysteries of the mummies presented through X-ray radiographies!
